back again, plainly speaking

I'm back on the Pride of Hull again, and in fact have been there for just over a week now, having done four round-trips already. The reason why I haven't blogged until now is because there hasn't been much to report; January and February are typically the least busy months of the year in terms of passenger numbers, and the last week has been no exception! Things did pick up slightly over the weekend, but still nothing like it was during the summer or autumn last year.

Last night there was a group of young people in on their return trip (I had met them before a few nights previously when they were on there way out), and although the bar wasn't busy they helped make it worthwhile, and probably the best on the ship so far this contract.

I'm not really sure how much longer I am going to be working on these ships, and whether I will continue with this blog or start a new one or what. The truth is, this blog has been a bit one-sided, and I have held back from reporting the full extent of my experience of life on-board P&O Ferries. But nevertheless it has been a good learning curve, and I'm not about to launch into some lengthy diatribe, but suffice it to say that from now on I will be attempting to provide a bit more of a rounded view of my sea-bound ventures, after all, this is my blog, I am human, and I am entitled to express my feelings and opinions. I'm not sure how wide my readership is, but hopefully it will continue to prove to be of some interest...
